Fire NOC or Scam?
Fire Extinguishers or Scam?
Fire Services or Scam?
It’s time to ask ourselves these hard questions. Everywhere we look, it seems like the systems meant to protect us are more about profits and personal gain than they are about saving lives. Is everything surrounding us fake or false?
Take fire extinguishers as an example. A device that cost 500 to 600 rupees is sold to the common man for 1500 rupees or more. But at that price, what kind of quality can we expect? A simple cylinder, some valves, accessories, and powder under nitrogen pressure—is this really enough to protect our lives? The sad truth is that many of these fire extinguishers don’t even work when they’re needed the most. They are not designed with safety in mind but with profit as the primary motive. In India, the fire extinguisher industry is nothing short of a scam.
The Fire NOC: A Necessary Document or a Dangerous Deception?
Everyone knows how much it costs to obtain a fire NOC (No Objection Certificate). Corruption is rampant in fire departments across cities, with arrests for bribery being common news. But do we ever stop to think about the real cost? How many unsafe buildings are given the green light, putting countless lives at risk?
What’s even more shocking is that there’s never any investigation into how many wrong decisions were made, how many risky NOCs were issued, or how many lives were endangered. Why? Because everyone knows this is just how the system works. We’ve accepted this corrupt system as normal, and this acceptance has led to a 97.5% shortage in fire services, contributing to more than 1.5 million deaths.
Why Are We Still Relying on a Flawed System?
Many people, including those in authority, know that a fire NOC is often nothing more than a piece of paper. It doesn’t actually save lives. So why do we still need it? The only thing that can truly protect us is a shift in our values. We need to start valuing life over profit.
