This guide puts the emergency numbers, the four fire stations listed for the district and the main local risks on one page, with a recent Sadabad house fire and the 2024 satsang crush as dated examples.

Local risks in Hathras

Sleeping-hours house fire in Sadabad, November 2026

At about 1.30 in the morning of 5 November 2026 a fire in a house in Mohalla Kaharan, Sadabad, killed an elderly couple aged 71 and 65 who were asleep inside. The fire brigade, police and an SDRF team reached the spot, the cause was not established, and we cover the fire in a case study.

Satsang crowd crush at Fulari, July 2024

On 2 July 2024 a crowd leaving a satsang in Fulari village, Hathras district, surged and fell, and 121 people died, most of them women. A special investigation team found the organisers had called more people than permitted without adequate arrangements, and that officials had not inspected the site although permission was given.

Fire cover for a large rural district

The district covers 1,840 sq km and 683 villages, and only four fire stations are listed for it, at Hathras, Sadabad, Sasni and Sikandra Rao. A fire in a village or a narrow mohalla may be a long way from the nearest station, so the first minutes belong to the family.
